How we get our ginseng
Many places you get ginseng from just buy their ginseng in bulk from some supplier in the US or Asia. They don’t have any control over the quality of their ginseng, and no idea of the source of their supply. In many cases, they don’t even grind their own ginseng. Instead they buy it pre-processed. This means that the powdered ginseng you buy may not even be 100% ginseng.

This is Mr. Yen, owner of DAAN amid a lush field of ginseng. Notice how tall and healthy the plants are. Healthy plants mean potent ginseng. Once the plants are ready to be harvested, Mr. Yen or one of his associates travels to Wisconsin to supervise the harvest.
Now we’re ready to pick the plants.
